Visa: Olympic Games Activation

Visa has been a worldwide Olympic Partner since 1986. At each edition of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Visa provides the most technologically advanced payment systems available, including contactless-enabled devices.

As part of the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020, Visa aimed to leverage the excitement surrounding the Olympic Games to enhance Visa's brand recognition and engage the DACH audience. Multiple compelling local activations such as the sponsorship with Urbansurf Zürich coupled with digital campaigns led to a further established and meaningful link between Visa and the Olympic Games.

Considering the postponement of the Olympics in Tokyo in 2020, the campaign was swiftly turned into a brand-focused cashless campaign, meeting the consumer need of hygienic payment.
